FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Monterey, CA - July 23, 2024 - LanguageLine Solutions, the global interpretation leader, is now the second largest provider of language access in the world overall, according to independent market research firm CSA Research. Based on verified revenues from 2023, LanguageLine climbed one spot to the No. 2 position globally in the $56 billion language services industry.

CSA Research rankings factor in all revenue streams, including those from interpretation, translation, testing and training, and other lines of business.

According to separate research conducted by Nimdzi, LanguageLine is the No. 1 provider of spoken-word interpretation in the world. LanguageLine has topped the Nimdzi rankings since they debuted in 2019.

The language services industry encompasses a wide array of players, ranging from specialized agencies to global giants.

In announcing the rankings, Hélène Pielmeier, CSA Research market study analyst, accentuated the crucial role of the language services industry in today's global business environment.

“Language service providers not only bridge linguistic and cultural gaps, but also drive global business growth by enabling effective communication across borders,” Pielmeier said. “Our rankings highlight the leaders who are setting the standard for excellence in the industry.”

The language services industry is entering what CSA calls “the Post-Localization Era,” with LanguageLine at the forefront with its launch of Global Content Solutions.

“The Post-Localization Era (will be) a period of profound transformation for LSPs,” Pielmeier said. “Future growth will stem from language services becoming core to a wider range of (multilingual) content operations. Such offerings help clients expand their global customer engagement and experience.”

CSA Research uses structured and documented methodologies to ensure independent and reliable data-driven research for language service providers, technology vendors, global enterprises, and investors.
