LanguageLine Solutions, the global leader in on-demand language access, has been named as one of the “UK’s Best Workplaces for Women (2021)”.
The UK’s Best Workplaces for Women (2021) award is run by Great Place to Work, the global authority on workplace culture and employee experience, which aims to help employers in areas such as recruitment, retention and productivity by gaining feedback and providing insights from employees in organisations around the world, in turn recognising employers who demonstrate desirable and successful employee practices. The certification is based on the results of the latest employee satisfaction survey conducted at LanguageLine.
Speaking about the award, LanguageLine UK Managing Director, Vanessa Eke said,
“We are delighted to be recognised for something that has been a core value and attribute of the business for many years. At LanguageLine, we not only take time to understand how each employee can contribute to the success of our business and customers, but also strive to take as much care as we can of the wide variety of mental and physical needs within our highly diverse workforce. The well-being of our people is fundamental to the health of the company. This understanding results in a fair, balanced and considered approach which offers flexibility and opportunity for the women in our workforce, and indeed all employees.
Integrity, trust and transparency underpin our commitment to supporting our teams and this translates into a culture where people can always be themselves at work. All-in-all we look to create an environment where every employee can develop and shine. With that, we are very pleased to be recognised in this way.”
2021 was the fourth year that the Best Workplaces for Women list was published. This year, the publication aimed to shine a spotlight on organisations who, while navigating a global health crisis, addressed gender equality issues and remained committed to building a better future for women at work.
The report focused on what women themselves reported about their workplace experience. After evaluating the data, it found that, even during the toughest times of the pandemic, female employees at Best Workplaces like LanguageLine Solutions had a positive overall experience at work.
Receiving the UK’s Best Workplaces for Women (2021) award is particularly meaningful this year, amid a pandemic, when the demand for LanguageLine’s support services was at an all-time high.
